Why does after-builders cleaning take longer?
Construction dust is extremely fine and settles everywhere — inside cupboards, on top of doors, in tracks and vents. It usually needs several passes to fully remove, which is why after-builders cleans take longer than a standard clean. Spit 'n' Polish charges £15 an hour and estimates the time upfront.
When should I book the clean after building work?
Once all the work is finished and the builders have removed their tools and materials. Cleaning too early means dust settles again. If work is happening in phases, a clean between phases can help — just tell me what stage you’re at.
