How long does a deep clean take?
A one-off deep clean usually takes four to eight hours for an average home, depending on size and condition. Spit 'n' Polish charges £15 an hour with a two-hour minimum, and Jo-Ann will estimate the hours needed upfront once she knows your home’s size and state.
What's the difference between a deep clean and a regular clean?
A regular clean maintains a home: floors, surfaces, bathrooms and kitchens. A deep clean goes further — inside the oven, fridge and cupboards, descaled bathrooms, skirting boards, door frames and inside windows. It’s the reset; regular cleans keep it that way afterwards.
Do I need a deep clean before starting regular visits?
Not always, but it helps. If a home hasn’t been cleaned professionally in a while, one deep clean brings everything up to standard, and shorter regular visits then keep it there — which usually works out cheaper over time.
